Catching up!

I have neglected this blog for almost a month now. Things have been hectic and I have been finding that my girls need a lot more attention than I was giving them previously, so I have only been spending a minimal amount of time online.  Anyway, we have been doing a lot.

Business first! Right now I am working on a coop.  The whole order isn't in yet, but it is looking like it will  be a few less than 100 trainers!  I offered some of my cutest, most favorite prints this time around and they have been a joy to sew. So far I have about 25 done.  Here are some of the prints I am offering.

While I stay up late sewing, my best friend is:

I have been wanting to sew nightgowns for my girls for so long and the other night I finally made one. It was a spur of the moment thing, so I just made up a pattern as I went.  I don't really sew clothing much, so it isn't perfect, but it will do. This particular one is for Jocelyn and now she knows what zebras are!  I plan to make a few for each of my girls.

I haven't been knitting too much, but I have this handspun project almost done. Here is a little peek at it. I will post more pics after it is blocked.

My newest crafting love is spinning! Right now I am spinning up some superwash merino wool that was dyed by Family Pendragon.  It is beautiful fiber and perfect for a spring project, though I am not sure what it is going to be yet!

I have planted my very first garden this year. I started it during the winter since it doesn't freeze here.  I have planted a pomegranate tree, zucchini and yellow zucchini, bell peppers, cucumbers, beets, snow peas, beans, butternut squash, green onions, carrots, and tomatoes along with some herbs.   Everything seems to be doing very well and I have already had some tomatoes, beets and carrots!

I have been doing my best to work out faithfully, but it seems that sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day!  I love to run, but it is starting to get a little hot for me, so I have started doing Jillian's Yoga Meltdown video (an AWESOME workout) along with my weightlifting routine.  I am very thankful that my husband and I decided to make our great room a home gym otherwise I don't know how I would ever work out with the little ones.

As much as I have been working and trying to be as productive as possible, I love to go outside with the girls to play with our lovable doggies and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Whew! That was a long post! I am going to try to keep up a little better from now on!

Actions Shots!

A really nice mama sent me some actions shots of her very handsome twin boys wearing Lil' Poo Catcher's diapers. I love to see my products on little ones!  Here are Asher and Isaac (love their names!) sporting their new diapers :)

Summer Knitting and Custom Trainers

Now that the weather is absolutely beautiful here, I have been getting together some shorties for Jocelyn. She wasn't too keen on the idea of wearing shorts at first and kept trying to pull them down, but she has gotten used to it.

This first pair is Ellyl by Mosaic Moon on Mountain Meadow Ramboulliet. I really love the feel of this yarn. It is a bit smoother and softer than cestari, but it seems to be just as sturdy. It was really nice to knit with.

This one is Blackberry Fairy by Family Pendragon on Cestari Superfine.  I couldn't wait to knit these up.  I adore the colorway!

I actually finished this bolero a couple of weeks ago, but forgot to post pictures. So her it is! It is Selah's Caramel Heart on Corriedale.   I had to bribe my husband to take some pics for me.  If it looks like gorgeous weather, that is because it has been in the 70s and 80s :)

Thanks to the little ones actually playing nicely together in my sewing room, I was able to finish up this custom this morning.  They are for a really nice mama in Canada.  She requested that I put elastic in the waist for her daughter and here they are!

More Custom Diapers :)

It has been another busy week with customs, but I am almost caught up :)
Here is another set of diapers that I just shipped off to a wonderful mama in Denmark!
This first one is all bamboo custom dyed. I just love how the colors mixed!

The rest are cotton prints with bamboo velour and bamboo fleece. I love all of the squishy goodness & I hope she loves them, too!

Some Custom Diapers :)

Here are a couple of custom orders that went out this morning.
The first 2 are for twin boys. I dyed them opposite so that one is green in front and blue in back and the other is blue in front and green in back. I love how they turned out and they are just so squishy and soft!

This is a set of 5 custom sized diapers for a sweet mama on Hyena Cart.  I love the prints she chose and I hope her little guy loves them, too!

New diapers

I got back to some diaper sewing this week since the trainer coop is all finished.

This owlie one is a custom for a sweet mama on Hyena Cart.  It is one of my favorite David & Goliath prints!

This Boys Rock one is make from one of the new Kumquat prints that I just bought. It is such a cute print!

This last one is Icky Baby Tiny Tools. I love this print as well!

I'm learning to spin!

My wonderful husband bought me a spindle kit for my birthday in November and I have just recently found the time to learn how to use it.  I am thankful to the lady that I met at a local fair who gave me some tips!  It has taken a while to get the hang of drafting and spinning at the same time, but it is coming along.  The green/silver/black skein is some fiber that I got out of the Phat fiber box. It is a mix of mohair, merino, tencel and silk. The one next to it is some superwash dyed in "Lavender Lollipops" by Blushing Ewe.  They were both really nice to work with!

This one is Mosaic Moon's "Ceilidh" colorway on 80's superfine merino. The photo doesn't really do the colors much justice.  It is a really beautiful colorway. This is only 2.5 oz and I have a total of 8 to spin. Once it is done, it is going to be an SMSS Handspun Pinafore for one of my daughters!
