This week in sewing!

I have accomplished a lot this week and here is just a taste of all that I have done.   I was really not in the mood for picture taking, so I didn't take pictures of the diapers that I finished. Though, I have a few more to make for my stocking next Tuesday.

This is a custom pack of trainers:

Action Shots!

Jocelyn finally decided that she would do some modeling for me! I love these pics of her and I think she is actually starting to look like me a little bit :)

Newborn fluffies!

I just finished these for a mama for a trade! I love them, especially the owls!

Knitting Projects

I knit this pair of socks for my mom for Christmas. They took FOR.EV.ER!  It wasn't that they were difficult, as you can see they have no pattern. My 2 year old little angel decided to help me knit and pulled all the needles out and proceeded to frog them for me when I was about 4 inches into them the first time. Then, I decided I didn't like the pattern I was using anyway, so I searched for a new pattern. I finally decided to just knit a nice, plain, pair of socks! Ahhhhhh, finally finished!  Now that she has them, I can post pics!  They are knit on firetip sport dyed by Selah in their Peter colorway.

I just finished the button loop on the kimono this morning! I adore this set. It figures that Jocelyn won't even try it on :( Maybe I will try again tomorrow. She has been in a pretty awful mood the past couple of days!  The top is knit from the SMSS Kimono pattern and the longies are Sheepy Pants.  They are both pretty easy well written patterns.  I was hoping to get the set done for Christmas, but with the unexpected length of time that the socks took, it just didn't happen. I did however finish the longies in a record (for me) time of 4 days! They have an 11 inch inseam!!  Hopefully I will be able to take some action shots soon.  They are knit with Cestari Superfine dyed in Mosaic Moon's Foxglove colorway and Cestari's Winter White.

Happy New Year!

I had planned to get a lot more accomplished for tomorrow's stocking, but my little ones are having one last sickness for the year! We are taking it easy today and hopefully they will start the New Year healthy :) I will be putting previews up later on tonight! Stocking will go live at 6 PM EST. Look for some cute trainers and diapers! I am also updating all of my knit print fabric selections for customs!

Customs...

I just finished this stuff this weekend. I am going to try to take a break from business sewing for the week to finish up some other projects that I have going on.  Mainly I am am working on an SMSS kimono and longies set for Jocelyn and my mom's Christmas present that is going to be more like a New Years present!  I also have a mei tei left to make for Jocelyn and I was going to make her some wool play food, but am seriously lacking the motivation to do that!

Finally! Something for me!

Most of my time lately has been spent sewing and knitting for others, especially because of the holidays. I took some time out for myself the other day and made myself a couple of drawstring bags to house my current knitting projects. Sewing bags isn't really my thing, but these were pretty easy once I figured them out. I am really happy with the way they turned out and they definitely serve their purpose. Maybe when I have some more time on my hands I will try something a little more elaborate.  The first one is small for socks and the 2nd one is larger and is currently housing an SMSS Kimono for my 16 month old daughter that I am hoping to finish before Christmas.
