Let's face it, pull-ups are diapers!  They don't encourage your child to go in the potty.  They don't even look like regular undies.  Cloth Indulgence cloth trainers look & feel like regular undies.  They have no resemblance to a diaper & your child can choose their favorite prints to further encourage them.  They are not waterproof for a reason.  Your child should feel the ickiness of being wet for it to click that he needs to make it to the potty next time.  Using cloth trainers will help your child make this connection much faster & the extra absorbency saves you from having to deal with puddles on the floor!

Cloth Indulgence trainers have 2 layers of hemp fleece & a layer of snuggly soft bamboo velour through the wetzone.  Hemp fleece is extremely absorbent and better yet, it is an eco-friendly fabric! The body of the trainer is cotton & there is no elastic in the waist or leg bands.  By leaving out the elastic, I have assured that your child can easily pull these trainers up & down all by themselves.  THis gives them confidence and ease in potty learning.

I will be leaving on Oct 1st for a trip to see family with the littlest munchkin, so I will be finishing up this weeks dozen or so trainers and I couple of diapers from my new design.  I won't have time for much else, but I will open customs up again when I get back on the 8th.  I will also be calling for some testers for my new waterproof trainers in the middle of October. 

Now that we are all settled in our new home, I am going to give this blog another shot! Life has been crazy & exciting for us lately.

Big stocking & a little modeling

My 3 little girls were so sweet to let me work while they played around me today.  I have a huge stocking lined up for tomorrow!

 

Little Cupcake was happy to do a little modeling for me tonight.  She is sporting a bamboo Cloth Indulgence medium fitted. 

 

I did a little picking up and organizing, so here is my new sewing room. The room is enormous, so the kids can hang out and color and play while I work. I am dying to get some pics and shelving on the walls.  

A Little Taste...

I seem to always be moving so fast that I forget to take pictures of things before they go out.  My awesome husband was easily talked into a new camera, so maybe that will help a little :)

First, a Sleuthing Hoodie

This sweater took me a whole month!!!  It was a really awesome knit though and I am completely satisfied with the results.  It was for a swap and I got some beautiful Julibeans BBR in exchange for my knitting.  The colorway is Disc Baby Knits "jungle Gent."  She also has a colorway called "Jungle Chic" that I am dying to get!


Next, a set of custom trainers.  No matter how many of these I make, and I have made hundreds, they are still fun!   I just love how cute they are and I remember how much my own little girls loved them when they were potty learning.

Happy Easter & Sewing!!

We have had a wonderful Easter weekend complete with Easter baskets, egg coloring and bison steaks on the grill!  My rockin' husband worked on our chicken coop so that we can get some chickens within the next few weeks.  Even the weather was nice!  Amidst all the fun, I still managed to get a little sewing in :)

Tonight, I will be sewing trainers like mad!!  I have 35 to get done in the next 10-14 days!!!

Custom Diapers

I happily finished an order of custom diapers tonight.  Diapers are time consuming for me, but they are the product that brings me the most satisfaction.  So, without further ado, this is what I have been working on all week...

Dyeing Fabric

It occurred to me recently that I should really make some time to keep up with this blog!  I guess I will start with today.  This afternoon my two older girls helped me dye some fabric.  We started mixing colors and I realized I didn't have my camera, so oh well, we didn't take pics of the process.  There was no way that I was going to step away from the dye to get it. That could have very quickly turned into a disaster!!! So, I will just post pics of the end product.  We dyed some t-shirts for their baby sister, because she is quickly outgrowing all of her clothes and we also did some cuts of bamboo velour.  One of which I am over-dying for a custom diaper right now because the colors just didn't come out dark enough.  I am excited to sew up the bamboo velour into a diaper or two and some pretty mama cloth.  I am extremely happy with the colors :)

Sewing and stocking previews!

I am slowly getting back into the swing of things after getting settled in from the move.  As this pregnancy progresses, I am having a hard time sewing for more than an hour or two at a time, so I haven't been able to do as much.  Here are few things that will be stocking soon at my main shop and at Luna's Gate!  I also on stocking some trainers.

Newborn bamboo diapers.  I love these! They are squishy and soft and are completely made from Bamboo/Organic Cotton Fleece.  I plan on dying some bamboo fleece for some girlie ones this weekend!

This diaper is so soft and beautiful!  It is Bamboo Velour for the outer/inner & Bamboo Fleece for the soaker layers.  I love the way the colors came out, perfect for Autumn!

 

This is a custom order of trainers that just went out the other day! I love sewing trainers, they are just so adorable.  I hope the little boy that these were going to loves the, too!

Knitting & News!

I have taken a couple months off from my business while getting over some terrible morning sickness and moving 1500 miles up to Northwestern Washington.  Washington has been such a great change for us, though moving with a 2 and 3 year old was pretty stressful at times!  The girls and I have been spending as much time as humanly possible outside.  There are plenty of beautiful parks and things to do to keep us busy for a long time!

I have been knitting a lot lately, especially since I have a new little coming in only 4 months!  This first set is my favorite.  It is Ky Baby Knits Grapefruit Love on BFL and it is so soft!

These are some newborn longies in Sugarbubbie's Promise colorway on Canadian BFL and is another favorite. 

This sweater was originally supposed to be for Julianne, but she didn't even want to try it on :(  Her little sister absolutely loves it, so it is hers now! 

Still Struggling!

Sewing and knitting have been nearly impossible for me right now.  It is all good though because we are expecting a new baby on Christmas!  My oldest is expecially excited and told me even before I was pregnant that she was going to have a baby brother for Christmas.  We shall see if she is right soon enough!  Wait there's more... my amazing husband scored a promotion in Washington State!  We are currently packing up and trying to sell the house and will be moving in August.  We are so excited to be leaving the desert and escaping the heat for some much needed green landscape!

This past week I have managed to work on some trainers and unders for a coop.  I didn't get much done, but luckily it is a small coop.  I don't normally make plain unders (except for my own kids), but a mama requested them, so I was happy to do them for her.  Maybe after we move and get settled, they will become a regular offering on my cart.

It's a miracle...

...that I finished this coop! 94 trainers done!!  I have not been feeling well as of lately and I really have been struggling with sewing. I am happy to be finished and am very happy with how they all came out.  I am taking a little break for a few days and then I have some work to do on my diaper patterns, as I am doing some sizing adjustments and am working on the design of my front-snapping diaper.  I hope to be stocking again at the end of the month. I will also be guest stocking at Luna's Gate on May 27th for their storybook theme.

Catching up!

I have neglected this blog for almost a month now. Things have been hectic and I have been finding that my girls need a lot more attention than I was giving them previously, so I have only been spending a minimal amount of time online.  Anyway, we have been doing a lot.

Business first! Right now I am working on a coop.  The whole order isn't in yet, but it is looking like it will  be a few less than 100 trainers!  I offered some of my cutest, most favorite prints this time around and they have been a joy to sew. So far I have about 25 done.  Here are some of the prints I am offering.

While I stay up late sewing, my best friend is:

I have been wanting to sew nightgowns for my girls for so long and the other night I finally made one. It was a spur of the moment thing, so I just made up a pattern as I went.  I don't really sew clothing much, so it isn't perfect, but it will do. This particular one is for Jocelyn and now she knows what zebras are!  I plan to make a few for each of my girls.

I haven't been knitting too much, but I have this handspun project almost done. Here is a little peek at it. I will post more pics after it is blocked.

My newest crafting love is spinning! Right now I am spinning up some superwash merino wool that was dyed by Family Pendragon.  It is beautiful fiber and perfect for a spring project, though I am not sure what it is going to be yet!

I have planted my very first garden this year. I started it during the winter since it doesn't freeze here.  I have planted a pomegranate tree, zucchini and yellow zucchini, bell peppers, cucumbers, beets, snow peas, beans, butternut squash, green onions, carrots, and tomatoes along with some herbs.   Everything seems to be doing very well and I have already had some tomatoes, beets and carrots!

I have been doing my best to work out faithfully, but it seems that sometimes there are just not enough hours in the day!  I love to run, but it is starting to get a little hot for me, so I have started doing Jillian's Yoga Meltdown video (an AWESOME workout) along with my weightlifting routine.  I am very thankful that my husband and I decided to make our great room a home gym otherwise I don't know how I would ever work out with the little ones.

As much as I have been working and trying to be as productive as possible, I love to go outside with the girls to play with our lovable doggies and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Whew! That was a long post! I am going to try to keep up a little better from now on!
